Ephesians 2:17
“He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.”
What does Ephesians 2:17 mean?
Jesus brought a message of peace to everyone, whether they felt spiritually distant from God or already close to him. "Far off" and "near" describe people's relationship with God before encountering Christ, not their worth or importance. This verse reminds us that peace with God through Jesus isn't reserved for the religiously educated or those who had all the right connections, but is freely offered to all of us, wherever we find ourselves today.
