What does Ephesians 2:16 mean?
Paul is describing something remarkable: through Jesus's death on the cross, the barrier between Jewish and non-Jewish believers is torn down, and they're brought together into one unified body (the church). The "hostility" he mentions is the deep division and tension that had existed for centuries between these two groups.
