What does Ecclesiastes 3:6 mean?
Life naturally moves in cycles, and sometimes what we need to do is let things go. This verse acknowledges that holding on tightly to everything isn't always wise—there are seasons when releasing something (a relationship, a job, a dream, a possession, or even a grudge) is exactly what's needed for us to move forward. Just as there's a proper time to search for something or work to maintain it, there's also a right time to stop clinging and allow it to pass out of our lives. The writer of Ecclesiastes is reminding us that loss and release aren't failures; they're a natural, necessary part of how life unfolds.
