Acts 22:10
“I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ The Lord said to me, ‘Arise, and go into Damascus. There you will be told about all things which are appointed for you to do.’”
What does Acts 22:10 mean?
Paul is asking Jesus directly what comes next after his dramatic encounter on the Damascus road, where his entire life was turned upside down. Jesus doesn't give him a detailed master plan, but simply tells him to take the next step: get up and go to the city, where he'll find guidance waiting for him. There's real comfort here for anyone feeling lost or overwhelmed by change. Paul didn't need to see the whole map of his future to move forward. He just needed to know the immediate next step and trust that clarity would come as he took it. Sometimes that's all any of us get, and it's enough.
