What does 2 Timothy 2:18 mean?

Paul is warning about false teachers who claim the spiritual resurrection has already happened, leaving nothing future to hope for. By removing the promise of a real, physical resurrection still to come, these teachers were pulling people away from genuine faith. When we lose sight of what God has promised for the future, it becomes easier to lose heart in the present, especially when we're suffering or tired. Paul's point is that holding onto the real hope of resurrection is essential to staying anchored in truth.
