What does 1 Corinthians 3:14 mean?

Paul is talking about the quality and substance of what we build our lives and faith upon. The "work" here refers to our actions, choices, and contributions, and whether they're built on a solid foundation (Jesus) or something that won't last. If what we do genuinely matters, if it's rooted in something real and true, we'll be rewarded for it, not because God is keeping score in a petty way, but because meaningful work naturally bears fruit. This is encouraging news for anyone who feels like their efforts go unnoticed. Whether it's the kindness you show in private, the integrity you maintain when no one's watching, or the way you serve others, it counts. God sees it and honors it. At the same time, it's a gentle invitation to think about whether we're building on solid ground or chasing things that ultimately won't matter.
