What does Zechariah 1:15 mean?
God is expressing deep frustration with nations that have become comfortable and complacent while His people suffer. What began as a measured correction (His "little displeasure") was meant to wake people up, but instead of learning or turning back, these nations made things worse by piling on additional cruelty and harm. This speaks to something we might recognize today: when we're given a gentle warning or wake-up call, we have a choice to listen or to harden ourselves. God's anger here isn't arbitrary—it's the response of someone who gave people room to course-correct, only to watch them choose selfishness and cruelty instead. There's both a warning and an assurance in this: God takes seriously how we treat others, and He notices the difference between those who stumble and those who deliberately add to someone else's pain.
