Romans 9:25

What does Romans 9:25 mean?
Paul is quoting the prophet Hosea to show that God's love has always extended beyond the boundaries people draw. In Hosea's time, God was making a point through the prophet's own painful marriage: even those who feel rejected or cast aside can be claimed and cherished by God. Paul applies this to the early church, where both Jews and Gentiles are being invited into God's family in a new way. The passage reminds us that belonging to God isn't based on who we were, where we came from, or how others have treated us, but on God's generous decision to call us His own.
