What does Romans 9:14 mean?
Paul is pushing back hard against a natural question that arises from what he's just said: if God chooses some people and not others, doesn't that make God unfair? He answers with an emphatic "absolutely not." This is Paul's way of saying that God's character and choices operate on a different plane than human ideas of fairness, and we need to trust that rather than judge God by our limited understanding.
