What does Romans 4:24 mean?

Paul is reminding us that the same faith Abraham had thousands of years ago is available to us today. When we believe in Jesus and trust that God raised him from the dead, that belief is counted to us as righteousness, just as it was counted to Abraham. The point isn't that we've earned our way to God through good behavior, but that our trust in what Jesus accomplished opens us to God's grace and acceptance. This is deeply personal: Paul wants us to know that this promise of being made right with God through faith isn't just an ancient story—it's for us, right now, wherever we are.
