Romans 4:14
“For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.”
What does Romans 4:14 mean?
Paul is making a logical point about how salvation works. If inheriting God's promises depended on perfectly following the law, then faith would become pointless, because the promises would rest entirely on human performance. But Paul's whole argument is that the promises come through faith, not through keeping rules, which means they're accessible to everyone regardless of their ability to be perfect. This matters especially if you've ever felt like you had to earn your way into God's favor or prove yourself worthy. Paul is saying that approach actually undermines the entire foundation of what God promised, because no one can perfectly keep the law anyway.
