Romans 2:9
“oppression and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
What does Romans 2:9 mean?
Paul is describing the real consequences that follow when we harm others and turn away from what's right. The "oppression and anguish" aren't arbitrary punishments handed down from above, but the weight and emptiness that settle into a life lived by doing wrong. When he says "to the Jew first, and also to the Greek," he's emphasizing that this applies to everyone without exception, regardless of their background or religious heritage, because God's moral laws work the same way for all people. Nobody gets a special exemption from the natural results of choosing harm over goodness.
