What does Romans 2:8 mean?

Paul is describing what happens when people deliberately turn away from truth and instead pursue their own desires and wrong actions. He's saying that this path doesn't go unnoticed by God, who responds with both anger (wrath) and deep displeasure (indignation). The point isn't to scare us, but to show that our choices matter, and that choosing ourselves over truth has real consequences. It's a sobering reminder that running from God's way isn't a neutral act, and it invites a response from him.
