What does Romans 15:22 mean?
Paul is explaining why he hasn't been able to visit the church at Rome yet, even though he's wanted to for years. His ministry work has kept him so busy spreading the gospel in other regions that the opportunity simply hasn't come together. This verse captures the honest tension many of us know: genuine desire to be somewhere or with someone, constantly delayed by real responsibilities. Paul isn't making excuses or being flaky; he's acknowledging that sometimes the good work we're called to do genuinely prevents us from doing other good things we'd love to do.
