Romans 15:21
“But, as it is written, “They will see, to whom no news of him came. They who haven’t heard will understand.””
What does Romans 15:21 mean?
Paul is quoting Isaiah here to explain why he's been so passionate about bringing the gospel to places where Christ hasn't been named yet. He's saying that people who've never heard the message about Jesus deserve that chance to encounter him and understand who he is, just like those who've already heard. There's something tender in this idea: God cares about reaching the forgotten corners, the communities that have been overlooked or left out. Paul saw his calling as bringing good news to people who had no way of knowing about Jesus on their own. For those of us reading this today, it's a reminder that faith isn't just about personal belief, but about making sure others get a genuine opportunity to hear and understand the good news too.
