Romans 14:24
“Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,”
What does Romans 14:24 mean?
Paul closes his letter by pointing to God's power to strengthen and anchor the believers in Rome, grounding them in the gospel message and the person of Jesus himself. The "mystery" he mentions is God's plan of salvation that was hidden throughout the Old Testament but is now revealed and available to all people, both Jews and Gentiles. This wasn't some brand new invention, but rather God's long-standing purpose finally coming into the light. It's a beautiful reminder that when we feel shaky or uncertain, we can trust that God's purpose is solid, trustworthy, and has been unfolding according to his plan all along.
