Romans 12:7
“or service, let us give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;”
What does Romans 12:7 mean?
Paul is talking about spiritual gifts here, and he's making a simple but powerful point: whatever ability God has given you, throw yourself into it wholeheartedly. If you're called to serve others practically (helping with meals, caring for the sick, organizing community needs), then serve with all you've got. If you're gifted at teaching, then teach with genuine passion and clarity. The underlying message is that there's no hierarchy of gifts in God's eyes. Service and teaching both matter equally, both deserve your full energy and commitment. When you're tempted to think your particular gifts are somehow less important than someone else's, this verse reminds you that God distributed talents intentionally, and he wants you using yours fully, not holding back.
