Romans 10:6
“But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down);”
What does Romans 10:6 mean?
Paul is telling us not to make faith harder than it needs to be. He's responding to people who might think, "I have to achieve something impossible, like pulling Jesus down from heaven myself, to earn God's approval." Instead, he's saying that real faith is something accessible right now, within your heart, not dependent on superhuman efforts or special knowledge. The deeper point is that righteousness (right standing with God) comes through trusting in what Christ has already done, not through our striving. If you're carrying guilt or feeling like you have to earn your way to God through perfect behavior or perfect understanding, this verse invites you to put down that burden. The way to God is already open.
