What does Romans 1:31 mean?
Paul is describing people who have turned away from God and are experiencing the spiritual consequences of that choice. When he lists "without understanding," he's pointing to a kind of spiritual blindness, where people lose their ability to recognize what truly matters. The other qualities he names (breaking agreements, rejecting family bonds, refusing forgiveness, showing no mercy) all flow from that core disconnection.
