Revelation 22:2

β€œin the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

What does Revelation 22:2 mean?

John is describing the eternal city of God, where a miraculous tree grows that produces a different fruit each month and never stops bearing nourishment. The leaves themselves carry healing properties for all the nations, suggesting that in God's final restoration, brokenness and division between peoples will be mended. This image reassures us that God's ultimate plan isn't just personal salvation, but the complete healing and reconciliation of all creation, including relationships that have been damaged by conflict, disease, and separation. It's a beautiful reminder that the wholeness we long for, both individually and collectively, is part of what God promises to bring about.
