Revelation 22:12
““Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.”
What does Revelation 22:12 mean?
Jesus is telling us that his return will happen sooner than we might expect, and when he comes, he brings with him the final settling of accounts. This isn't about earning salvation through effort, but rather about how the way we've lived, the love we've shown, and the faithfulness we've demonstrated actually matter and will be acknowledged. It's meant to encourage people who are suffering or discouraged, reminding them that God sees what they do in secret and in obscurity. For those who have been generous, patient, or courageous in following him, there's a comfort in knowing that nothing good goes unnoticed, even if the world never recognizes it.
