Revelation 21:3

I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

What does Revelation 21:3 mean?

In John's vision of heaven's arrival on earth, God announces that the old separation between divine and human is finally over. After all the struggle and pain of history, God moves in to live permanently among us, not distant and unreachable but present and close. This echoes an ancient promise God made to Israel, that he would be their God and they would be his people, now fulfilled in a way that includes all who believe. For anyone who has ever felt alone or abandoned, this verse whispers that the deepest longing of the human heart—to be known, claimed, and loved by God—becomes the permanent reality of eternity.
