What does Psalms 90:7 mean?
The psalmist here is expressing something many of us feel in our darkest moments: that God's judgment burns against us, and we're caught in its weight. The language of being "consumed" and "troubled" captures a deep weariness, the sense that life itself is draining away under the pressure of divine displeasure. What makes this psalm valuable is that it doesn't stay in this place of despair. The writer is naming real pain and fear, but doing so in prayer, which means these feelings are being brought into conversation with God rather than kept hidden.
