Psalms 89:13
βYou have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.β
What does Psalms 89:13 mean?
God's strength isn't distant or theoretical, but active and present. The psalmist uses physical imagery of a mighty arm and strong hand to say that God's power is real, tangible, and working on behalf of his people. When the psalmist speaks of God's "right hand" being exalted, he's drawing on an ancient way of talking about honor and authority, as if God's strongest, most capable side is raised high for all to see. This is meant to comfort you: the one who holds your life has both the power and the willingness to act.
