Psalms 88:11

What does Psalms 88:11 mean?
The psalmist is wrestling with a hard question: what good does God's love and faithfulness do us once we've died? He's not being disrespectful, but honest about his despair. He's saying that if he dies in this suffering, he won't be around to tell others how God came through for him, and his death would seem to prove that God's promises don't actually protect us.
