“Show me a sign of your goodness, that those who hate me may see it, and be shamed, because you, Yahweh, have helped me, and comforted me.”
What does Psalms 86:17 mean?
The psalmist is asking God for visible proof of his favor, not for revenge, but so that his enemies might witness God's kindness toward him and recognize their own wrongness.
