What does Psalms 80:4 mean?
The psalmist is pouring out a complaint to God, asking why He seems distant and unmoved while His people are suffering and calling out to Him. There's a rawness here, a kind of holy frustration, as if the writer is saying, "We're praying, we're turning to you, so why does it feel like you're turned away?"
