Psalms 74:12

What does Psalms 74:12 mean?
The psalmist is in the middle of deep distress, watching his community suffer and wondering where God has gone, but he pauses here to anchor himself in something solid: God's proven track record. He's saying that even though things look dark right now, God has been faithful and powerful from ancient times, delivering people from danger and darkness. This isn't about pretending the pain away. It's about remembering that the One he's praying to has always been trustworthy, has always worked to save and restore, and isn't suddenly powerless now just because circumstances are hard. When you're walking through a difficult season, sometimes the most honest prayer is exactly this: "I don't understand what's happening right now, but I know who you've been to others and to me before."
