Psalms 73:4
“For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.”
What does Psalms 73:4 mean?
The psalmist is observing something that troubles him: the wicked seem to escape the hard things the rest of us face. They don't appear to suffer illness, weakness, or the grinding difficulties of life that wear down faithful people. Their bodies stay strong, and they slip out of the world without the anguish others endure. This verse sits in the middle of Psalm 73, where the writer wrestles with a real and painful question: why do people who ignore God seem to have it so easy, while those trying to follow him struggle? It's honest doubt, not blasphemy. The psalmist is naming something he's observed and finding it deeply unfair.
