What does Psalms 7:9 mean?

David is asking God to bring justice, appealing to God's perfect knowledge of what's truly in people's hearts. He's confident that when God sees clearly into everyone's deepest motivations and thoughts, the wicked will be exposed and the righteous will be vindicated. There's real comfort here for anyone who feels unfairly treated or misunderstood: God knows the full truth about you, not just how things appear on the surface. This psalm comes from a place of personal struggle, when David felt wrongly accused, and it reminds us that we don't have to convince everyone of our integrity because God already sees it completely.
