What does Psalms 66:3 mean?

When we tell God how awesome his deeds are, we're acknowledging something deeper than just admiration, we're recognizing his authority over everything, including forces that oppose him. The psalmist is inviting us to witness how God's power naturally brings even his enemies into submission, not through force we witness, but through the inevitable reality of his strength. This is meant to settle our hearts, especially when we face our own struggles, because it reminds us that nothing stands outside God's reach or control. Speaking these words aloud, whether in praise or in the midst of doubt, helps us realign with the truth that the one we worship has already demonstrated his power across all creation.
