What does Psalms 62:10 mean?
When wealth comes through injustice or dishonest gain, it corrodes both our character and our peace. The psalmist is warning against building our lives on a shaky foundation, whether that's exploiting others for money or letting material success become our primary goal. This speaks to something real: when we chase riches or status at any cost, we end up anxious, always worried about losing what we've gained or having our methods exposed. But even when money comes honestly, the deeper point holds true. If our hearts are set on accumulating more and more, we miss the stability that comes from trusting God instead. Security built on possessions is fragile, but security built on faith endures.
