Psalms 51:13
“Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you.”
What does Psalms 51:13 mean?
The psalmist (David) is making a promise to God after confessing his own wrongdoing: if God will forgive and restore him, he wants to use that experience to help others find their way back to God too. There's something powerful here about broken people becoming teachers, not because they're perfect, but because they've actually walked through repentance and restoration themselves. When we've experienced real forgiveness, we often become more genuine in pointing others toward it, since we know both the weight of guilt and the freedom that comes after. The "conversion" David mentions isn't coercion or judgment from a distance, but an invitation that carries real credibility because he's been there.
