Psalms 50:8
“I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.”
What does Psalms 50:8 mean?
God is reassuring his people that he isn't angry about their religious practices or rituals themselves. He sees their efforts to honor him through sacrifice, and he's not rejecting those outward signs of devotion. What he's really saying is that external obedience matters far less than what's happening in the heart, which becomes clear as the psalm continues.
