What does Psalms 50:10 mean?
God is reminding us here that he owns everything in creation, not because he needs to use it or control it, but because he made it all. When the psalmist says the animals of the forest and livestock on countless hills belong to God, he's making a sweeping point: your possessions, your resources, your abilities—they're ultimately gifts held in trust, not things you grip with permanent ownership. You're not the ultimate provider for yourself or those you love. That doesn't erase your responsibility to work and steward well, but it does free you from the crushing weight of thinking everything depends entirely on you. God sees and cares for all creation, which means he sees and cares for you too.
