Psalms 38:9
“Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.”
What does Psalms 38:9 mean?
When we're hurting deeply, sometimes words fail us and all that comes out are sighs or tears. The psalmist is saying that God sees everything in us, even the parts we can't articulate or put into proper prayer. There's deep comfort here: nothing about your longing, your pain, or your wordless ache is invisible to God or somehow too messy for him to handle. He already knows what you need before you can ask for it, and your honest groaning matters just as much as any eloquent prayer.
