Psalms 22:5
“They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.”
What does Psalms 22:5 mean?
The psalmist is looking back at generations before him who faced their own desperate moments and discovered that calling out to God actually changed their situation. When they trusted God instead of giving in to fear or despair, they found that trust was not misplaced, and they were not left empty-handed. This isn't a promise that every prayer gets answered exactly as we hope, but rather a testimony that those who reach toward God in their need find Him faithful and present.
