Psalms 135:2
“you who stand in Yahweh’s house, in the courts of our God’s house.”
What does Psalms 135:2 mean?
This is a call to everyone who serves or worships in God's temple, inviting them into a moment of praise together. The psalmist is speaking directly to priests, Levites, and other temple workers, those who literally stood in the sacred spaces day after day. By naming both the house itself and its courts, the writer emphasizes that worship happens in real, physical places where God's people gather. There's something beautiful in being addressed so directly, as if the psalmist is looking you in the eye and saying: you belong here, and your presence in this community matters.
