Psalms 116:11

What does Psalms 116:11 mean?
The psalmist is expressing a moment of raw frustration, probably after feeling betrayed or let down by people he trusted. In his rush of pain, he sweeps into an extreme conclusion, declaring that everyone is dishonest. It's a very human reaction to disappointment: when we're hurt, we sometimes lump all people into one category and assume the worst of everyone. What makes this verse honest is that the psalmist doesn't pretend his hasty judgment is true or fair, he simply admits that this is what he said in his distress.
