What does Psalms 116:10 mean?
The psalmist is describing a moment of honest faith, where trust in God actually gave him the courage to speak about his real struggles rather than hide them. He's saying that his belief in God didn't make his pain disappear, but it did make him willing to acknowledge it openly. There's something deeply human here: sometimes faith doesn't immediately solve our problems, but it does free us from pretending they don't exist. When we trust that God can handle hearing about our pain, we stop performing strength and start being real about what we're actually going through.
