Psalms 107:2
βLet the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,β
What does Psalms 107:2 mean?
The psalmist is inviting people who've been rescued and restored by God to speak up about it. There's something powerful about naming what God has done for us, especially when we've been trapped or oppressed by forces working against us. This isn't about boasting, but about honest testimony that can comfort others who are still struggling. When we tell our stories of being freed from whatever held us captive (addiction, fear, despair, injustice), we remind ourselves and encourage others that deliverance is real and possible.
