Psalms 103:2
“Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits;”
What does Psalms 103:2 mean?
The psalmist is inviting their own heart and mind to remember all the good things God has done, not just once, but as an ongoing practice. When life gets hard or routine, it's easy to forget the moments when God showed up for us, answered a prayer, or provided exactly what we needed. This verse suggests that gratitude isn't just nice to feel, but something worth returning to deliberately, again and again. By choosing to remember God's kindness in our lives, we strengthen our trust in him and shift our focus from what's missing to what we've already been given.
