Psalms 102:26

They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

What does Psalms 102:26 mean?

Everything around us—the mountains, the sky, the very ground we stand on—eventually decays and falls apart. But God remains constant and unchanging, standing outside of time itself. The psalmist uses the image of clothing wearing thin to show how all creation is temporary, while God simply folds it away and transforms it into something new. This speaks to a deep comfort: whatever feels permanent and overwhelming in our world right now is actually temporary, held in the hands of someone eternal.
