What does Psalms 101:7 mean?

The psalmist is making a personal commitment to surround himself with integrity and truthfulness. He's saying that he won't allow deceitful or dishonest people to have a place in his inner circle or to maintain influence over him. It's a declaration that truth and honesty matter enough to shape his most important relationships. This speaks to something we all sense deeply: that living with lies erodes trust and peace. Whether it's in families, friendships, or communities, deception eventually damages everything it touches. The psalmist recognizes this and decides in advance that he'll build his life on a foundation of people he can trust to be honest with him.
