Proverbs 6:14
βin whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.β
What does Proverbs 6:14 mean?
This verse describes someone whose inner life is twisted toward harm, someone who wakes up thinking about how to cause trouble and makes it their constant project to turn people against each other. It's painting a picture of a person whose default mode is division, someone for whom creating conflict has become almost reflexive. The proverb doesn't offer this as mere description, though, but as a warning: notice what such a heart looks like so you can recognize it in others (and perhaps in yourself during hard moments) and understand the damage it does. When someone's aim is always to sow discord, their presence becomes corrosive to any community or relationship they touch.
