What does Proverbs 21:26 mean?

The contrast here captures something true about human nature: some people are consumed by wanting more, their desire never satisfied no matter how much they accumulate. The righteous person, by contrast, experiences freedom from that treadmill. They give generously because they're not imprisoned by the fear of not having enough. This isn't about being naive or foolish with resources. It's about recognizing that a life built around grasping and hoarding leaves you anxious and empty, while generosity (even modest generosity from limited means) creates a different kind of fullness. The person who can give without constantly calculating loss has found something the greedy person is still searching for.
