What does Proverbs 20:9 mean?
This is Solomon's way of gently pointing out that no one can honestly claim to be completely free from wrongdoing. He's not being cynical, but realistic: the person who thinks they've got no sin left to work on has actually lost touch with themselves. There's always more growing to do, more ways we fall short, more to repent of, and that awareness itself is actually healthy and humble. It's an invitation to stop pretending and to be honest about our need for grace and change.
