Proverbs 12:2
“A good man shall obtain favor from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.”
What does Proverbs 12:2 mean?
When we live with genuine goodness—treating others fairly, acting with integrity, pursuing what's right—we find ourselves in a place of blessing and grace with God. It's not about being perfect, but about the direction your heart is moving. By contrast, someone who schemes and plots harm, whose plans are rooted in selfishness or cruelty, puts themselves at odds with God's character. The contrast here is really about two different paths: one that naturally aligns with how God works in the world, and one that pulls against it.
