Philippians 3:14

What does Philippians 3:14 mean?
Paul is describing the Christian life as a race where he's straining forward with everything he has, eyes fixed on what matters most. He's not looking back at past failures or getting distracted by what's beside him, but pressing ahead toward the prize, which is becoming more fully who God created him to be in Christ. The "high calling" isn't about earning points with God or reaching some distant perfection—it's about living out the purpose of belonging to Jesus, which transforms how we see ourselves and spend our energy. This encourages us when we feel stuck or weary: the point isn't reaching some impossible finish line, but the direction we're moving and the One we're moving toward.
