What does Numbers 32:37 mean?
After forty years of wandering in the desert, the Israelites were finally approaching the Promised Land. The tribe of Reuben asked Moses if they could settle on the east side of the Jordan River instead of crossing over, and Moses eventually agreed on the condition that they help the other tribes first. This verse records them building or rebuilding cities in that region, establishing their new home.
